Long Island Weather: Thunderstorms Possible Before Serious Heat Arrives

Long Island could see some thunderstorms pass through before some serious summer heat arrives Sunday and sticks around for a few days.
The National Weather Service says there's a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday, mainly during the afternoon hours.
"No severe weather is anticipated, but gusty winds cannot be ruled out in any shower/storm," the NWS says.
