TODAY: Fire Feast, Music and Food Festival to Support Lindenhurst Fire Department

The Pavilion at Fireman’s Park in Lindenhurst (555 Heiling Boulevard) is the place to be Saturday as the Lindenhurst Fire Department’s Union Hook & Ladder Co. #1 hosts its first Fire Feast, Music & Food Festival.

Admission is $10 ($5 for firefighters with ID and children under 5 are free).

The department says the money raised will be used to assist in the many expenses associated with running a volunteer fire department, such as purchasing supplies, truck maintenance, and training new firefighters. The funds will also be invested back into the community through the many programs the department sponsors during the year. Some of the department’s community outreach programs include teaching local school children about fire safety, adopting families in need during Christmas time, the annual Holiday Parade, and helping to ease the financial burden of local families whose children suffer from terminal illness.

This Saturday June 20th, 2015 we kick off the event at 1:00 pm with Full House music bringing back some classic rock from the 60’s. Then we will continue the day with Rattle Snake Dawn, Stir Crazy, and ending the night with Strawberry Fields, the ultimate Beatles cover band. While you listen to music make sure to stop by one of the 10 plus vendors and enjoy delicious unique foods, or take a stroll over to the beer garden where you will find a wide selection of craft beers. Don’t worry about your kids, we have you covered. We will have FREE face painting, balloon art, & a bounce house to keep those little one entertained. So lets break out our beach/lawn chairs & picnic blankets and get ready to enjoy your Saturday at: Fire Feast, Music & Food Festival
