Village OKs Hoffman Ave. Retirement Apartment Complex Zoning
The proposal is for 11 senior apartments on the site of the closed D'Angelo Glass & Mirror store in Lindenhurst.

LINDENHURST, NY —In a Lindenhurst Village board meeting this week, a rezoning proposal for a senior apartment complex on W. Hoffman Ave. got the go-ahead. Rafalowski Realty applied to rezone the site where shuttered D'Angelo Glass & Mirror operated, 246 W. Hoffman Ave earlier this year, and the village's decision had remained open.
The village had previously requested a traffic impact study on the proposed development, which plans for 11 senior apartments and 17 parking spots.
No residents spoke for or against the project during the Tuesday afternoon virtual Zoom meeting, although the village ordered the traffic study due to earlier public comments wondering how the multi-unit apartment project would affect local traffic safety.
