LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst High School graduate recently team up with a West Babylon musician to release a new music video on YouTube this month.

Sean Werner, who goes by the stage name Prophetnyc, and hip-hop artist John Seeley, known as D1C3, released their music video and song "Love Lies" on May 13.

In less than two weeks, the local musicians managed to rack up 6,879 views on their video.

"Love Lies is a music video/short film about past and present romantic relationships, and the psychological effects they may cause," Werner said.

The song is featured on the album "The Beauty of Misery." In addition to Werner and Seeley, Anna Mayo, Janelle Yull, and Marcus Nazario all starred in the video. The video was directed by Nazario and Seeley.

Seeley also handled the cinematography with help from Victor Miranda, the visual editing, and the story writing along with Antonio Howell. The group filmed the video the first week of May but the process for creating the video began back in January. They rehearsed prior to the shoot via Zoom and once at a studio in New York City.

"We made the video with an incredible group of actors and filmmakers over the course of an 8 hour day at a set in Brooklyn," Werner said.

The song and video are both very personal for both local musicians as they were inspired by true stories.

"We are hoping to raise awareness regarding mental health," Werner said. "And to show the effects that break-ups and stress can have on people. It was a very therapeutic process for us."
