William Rall PT Awarded Grant To Foster Digital Safety Discussion
The elementary school will use the $1,000 grant to help create "productive conversations" about online activity this May.

William Rall Elementary School PTA of the Lindenhurst Union Free School District has been awarded with a $1,000 grant from National PTA to foster digital safety conversations in their school community using The Smart Talk. The grant is part of National PTA’s PTA Connected initiative and the association’s new PTA Programs at Home models. The funding is made possible by TikTok, a short-form video app and PTA Proud National Sponsor.

With the grant, the William Rall PTA will be holding an at your own pace event with activities for families of William Rall Elementary School to learn more about digital safety and how to have productive conversations about online activity this May.
“We are excited to have been awarded this grant and take part in this program,” said William Rall Elementary Principal Farrah McKenna, principal. “It is of the utmost importance to teach students and families about digital citizenship and cyber safety. We thank the National PTA and TikTok for this invaluable opportunity.”
