Coop nightmare

Sherwood house

Coop purchasers beware! If you are looking to buy a coop keep this in mind!you can be turned down for some stupid reason and you will never find out why! I recently tried to buy into the Sherwood house ,410 e broadway after looking for quite some time.it was a cash deal.i am retired on a govt pension and have a 790 fico score.before you can get the application package which is very lengthy and intrusive, you have to go to contract.you wait for an interview,at least a month.the women interviewing me asked me why I wanted to move to Long Beach, when I mentioned that I had a sister that lived nearby, she asked me why don't I live with my sister.after the interview you wait 4 days for a response,in my case the real estate broker called me to tell me I was declined,no reason given.they keep the 500.00 application fee and I have to pay my lawyer,so not only do I. Have to start all over again with no place to live, I am out 1500.00 bucks.this is a unfair practice and they shouldn't be allowed to just reject someone and not tell them why.they can get away with discrimination,
