Those wishing to enter their film into the Long Beach International Film Festival have until July 1.

As the LBIFF approaches, festival officials are adding more elements to this year’s event with a Taste on the Beach. Restaurants, breweries, and wineries from the region will come together on Aug. 7 before the free movie night, Shorts on the Beach.
Beginning at 5 p.m., ticket holders to Taste on the Beach can walk the red carpet, browse and taste local fare, and enjoy live performances. The event precedes Shorts on the Beach at 8 p.m.

The full film festival is set for Sept. 24-27 and will feature nightly special performances, filmmaker Q&A sessions, seminars, musical performances, and film showings.
