Drawbridge Testing To Cause Delays This Week
The state will be testing bridges on the Loop and Meadowbrook parkways as part of its refurbishment project.

Drawbridge testing will cause some delays during off-peak hours this week on the Loop Parkway and the Meadowbrook Parkway, the state announced.
As the state Department of Transportation nears completion of the multi-million-dollar refurbishment of two bridges, crews will be testing how they raise and lower this week. The tests will take place on the Loop Parkway drawbridge over Long Creek and the Meadowbrook Parkway drawbridge over the Sloop Channel, starting on Tuesday.
The tests will be conducted between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bridge will be opened for 10 to 15 minutes and then closed for another 10 to 15 minutes. The bridge will not reopen until traffic has cleared.
