The First Annual Long Beach Luau
A Large Fundraising Event for Childhood Cancer in Honor of Ty Louis Campbell

A Long Beach Patch Facebook user reached out to share:
Join us for a celebratory beachfront farewell to summer in memory of a young boy from Long Beach who lost his battle to cancer in October 2012. Ty Louis Campbell was five years old when his life was cut short, but his memory lives on in the hearts of the Long Beach community.
The Long Beach Luau is a family fun event, but more importantly, it is a fundraiser for childhood cancer research through the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation. Hosted by Brother Jimmy’s BBQ and The Sands, the Luau-themed fundraiser will include authentic Hawaiian cuisine and entertainment for all ages, while children can participate in a wide variety of crafts, hula dances, drum lessons and grass skirt workshops.
