Happy Mother's Day From Michael Magera

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 12, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Michael Magera's letters to his mom and Mae:

Dear Mom,

I can’t believe that we are neighbors! Denise and I are so thrilled to be in Long Beach and even more thrilled to have Grandma Millie so close by! I am so proud to call you Mom, and I love you so very much for all that you have done for me over the course of my life. I know that it wasn’t easy! Thanks for making me the man that I have become. I know that I still need work, but I am trying! Great-Grandma Anna, Grandma Millie, you and Denise have all been Godsends for me!

I loved you since the first day that I met you and even before. Thank you so much for all that you did for me during the tearfully brief years that we knew each other. Denise loved and loves you dearly, as do I. May God bless you until we meet again!
