HGTV's 'Island Life' to Features Manhattanite's Search for Long Beach Home

Long Beach is going to be featured on HGTV's "Island Life" this weekend, and will showcase one woman's efforts to make the City by the Sea her new home.

"Island Life" focuses on people who are following their passion and moving to an island. The show features everyday people and families and the realtors they're working with to make their island dreams a reality. They are shown many different homes to hopefully find one that fits their budget.

This week's episode episode, which will air Sunday at 10 p.m. on HGTV features Danielle, an art teacher living in Manhattan who wants to move to Long Beach. According to HGTV, Danielle came to Long Beach years ago for a party and fell in love with the community.

The show will feature Danielle's efforts to trade in Manhattan for the sand of Long Beach, and find a home with water views.
