Long Beach Braces for Nor'Easter

BREAKING: The city is preparing for the storm, but there are steps residents can take as well. Make sure you sign up for 911 notifications.

The City of Long Beach is bracing itself for the Nor'Easter that is bearing down on Long Island, and is expected to bring high winds, heavy rain and coastal flooding along with it.

According to the city, DPW workers have been out in force to clear storm drains so that water can easily drain from the streets.

Residents should make sure that any outdoor furniture and other loose items they have are brought inside or securely tied down. The winds can lift unsecured items, creating hazards for people and buildings.
