Long Beach Closures Monday For Independence Day
The Magnolia Center and Ice Arena will be shut for the holiday, but the Recreation Center will be open.

LONG BEACH, NY — Because July 4 falls on a Sunday this year, Monday the 5th is recognized as a federal holiday. Therefore, it will not be business as usual in most places.
In Long Beach, City Hall and Magnolia Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day.
The Ice Arena will also be shut, but the Recreation Center will be open to the public, the City of Long Beach said on its website.

As for transit, Long Beach buses will run on a holiday schedule.
Additionally, alternate side of the street will be suspended. However, there will be regular residential and commercial sanitation pickup.
