Long Beach Gearing Up for Super Bowl Splash
The 16th annual event raised $670,000 in 2014.

Long Beach is readying for its 16th Annual Polar Bears Super Bowl Splash.
Set for Feb. 1 at the Long Beach Boardwalk, the chilly event raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Long Beach’s splash is held in memory of Paulie Bradley, who died at four years old before being able to receive his wish.
Thousands of brave swimmers congregate each year to jump in the ocean for a good cause. Last year, 15,000 swimmers and supporters came to Long Beach and raised $670,000.
