Long Beach Jazz Festival Kicks off Thursday
The annual event will fill the Barrier Island with music and fun.

The 14th annual Long Beach Jazz Festival kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday, Sept. 18.
Most of the shows take place at the Long Beach Library, with other events happening throughout the city. It features two-dozen acts over the weekend, and admission is free.
Things kick off at the library, located at 111 West Park Ave., at 7 p.m. Thursday with the Carrot/Stick Trio. Then, local jazz legend Edmar Castaneda, joined by Andrea Tierra and Jorge Glem, take things away at 8:15 p.m.
