Long Beach Man Made False Claims About Children: Police
The 52-year-old contacted various agencies with accusations of sexual and physical abuse, police say.

LONG BEACH, NY — A Long Beach man was arrested after making false accusations regarding children, police said.
Kevin O'Neil, 52, was taken into custody on Monday, Nassau County's Special Investigations Squad said.
O'Neil made multiple false accusations of physical, verbal and sexual abuse to the child protective services hotline, the State Office of Children and Family Services and the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment, police said.

The false claims led to the children and their parents being subjected to several home visits, interviews and physical examinations by Nassau police, New York State Child Protective Services and the state's Office of Children and Family Services, police said.
O'Neil faces five counts of third-degree falsely reporting an incident and nine counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was scheduled for arraignment Monday in Mineola.
