Long Beach 'Music On The Beach' Concert Canceled Due To Rain

LONG BEACH, NY — A free summer concert planned Monday in Long Beach has been canceled due to rain. The city announced the news in a Facebook post Monday afternoon, writing that the concert was rescheduled for Friday, August 2.

The event had planned to feature "On The Radio," a tribute band to the American singer and songwriter Donna Summer.

The city's annual "Music on the Beach" concert series began July 2 and runs through Aug. 30. Each event is usually held on Riverside Boulevard Beach around 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service on Monday afternoon issued a flash flood watch for southern Nassau County. A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect until 10 p.m.
