Long Beach Parking Permits For LIRR Garages Now On Sale
The yearly parking permits for the Long Island Railroad parking garages in Long Beach will expire June 30. Here's how you can buy a new one.
LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach residents who park in the Long Island Railroad garages before hopping on the train will need to act quickly to continue parking — new permits for 2019-20 are on sale and the old permits expire June 30.
Applications for the permits are available at the city clerk's office in room 307 at City Hall. They're available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m., though there is an option to sign up for the permits through the mail.
If you're planning on buying a parking permit in person, remember to bring a copy of your car registration. Permits are $250 for city residents and $300 for non-residents. They remain valid from July 1 through June 30, 2020.

The resident parking permit allows for parking in the following lots:
- Georgia Avenue and West Beech Street
- Maryland Avenue and West Beech Street (SW Corner)
- Virginia Avenue and West Beech Street
- Vermont Street and West Beech Street
- Connecticut Av and West Beech Street
- Center Mall Lot 700 Block West Park Avenue (South Side)
- Long Beach Road and Walnut Street
- Maryland Avenue and West Beech Street (NE Corner)
- 200 Block Shore Road
