LONG BEACH, NY — The City of Long Beach announced that it has restored its weekday buses to their previous schedule as the LIRR resumes its normal weekday service.

The city had announced in early March that it would be changing its morning bus service in response to cuts the LIRR was making to its schedule. The city changed its bus schedule to better align with the new train departure times.

However, the cuts in trains the LIRR implemented were met with swift and sever backlash from riders, and were quickly reversed. Monday was the first day the transportation service switched back to the old schedule. As a result, the city did the same.
