Long Beach School Budget Passes

LONG BEACH, NY — The results are in, and the Long Beach School District's budget passed.

The vote was 3,865 to 1,441 in favor of the spending plan.

In addition, incumbent Board of Education Trustees Dennis Ryan and Maureen Vrona were both returned to their seats. Ryan received 2,762 votes, and Vrona received 2,182. Challengers Alexis Pace, Perry Bodnar and Pamela Banks received 1,813, 1,692 and 845 votes, respectively.

All of the votes were cast by absentee ballot this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
