Long Beach Tree Lighting Set for Friday

Come celebrate the season with hot chocolate, a huge bounce house, a visit from Santa and tons more fun for the whole family.

Get ready to ring in the holidays this week, when the City of Long Beach starts the season with the Annual Kennedy Plaza Christmas Tree Lighting.

The event starts at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Familes can arrive early to enjoy arts and crafts, stories, cookies, hot chocolate, pretzels, pop corn and more, all under a tent in Kennedy Palza. Local restaurants will be slinging some of their signature dishes, too: The Waffle Cabin will have its famous waffles and toppings, the Whales Tale will have delicious, hot soup and Swingbelly's with have some of its signature appetizers.

In addition to all of that, Bouncy, the world's largest snowman bounce house, will be returning.
