Long Beach's Annual Egg Hunt Is This Weekend

Plus, the Long Island Children's Museum has a fun spring activity you can get tickets for.

Spring is finally here, and Easter is just around the corner. Which means it's time for egg hunts across Long Island.

This year, the annual Long Beach egg hunt will be held on April 8 at the Recreation Fields on Magnolia Boulevard, next to the Ice Arena, starting at 10 a.m. There will be prizes for the kids who find the most eggs. Different ages will be hunting at different times.

  • 3 years and under (with one parent) -- 10:00 a.m.
  • 4 years -- 10:30 a.m.
  • 5 years -- 11:00 a.m.
  • 6 years -- 11:30 a.m.
  • 7 years -- 12:00 p.m.
  • 8 and 9 years -- 12:30 p.m.

And if you want something a little different, the Long Island Children's Museum will be holding a special Spring EGGstravaganza on Saturday, April 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. Kids will have the opportunity to meet Peter Rabbit, explore egg decorating, play fun games, get their faces painted, create spring-themed crafts and decorate their own sweet treat.
