Long Beach, NY; November 20, 2020 – Long Island Reach, a multi-service agency that provides a broad range of mental health counseling, rehabilitative and treatment services for youth and their families, based in Long Beach, NY, is hosting a virtual fundraising cooking class for Long Islanders as they prepare for the 2020 Thanksgiving holiday.

The cooking class will be held via ZOOM on Tuesday, November 24 at 6 p.m. and will be taught by four-star Newsday rated Chef Matthew Hisiger, owner and operator of LB Social, a seasonal American restaurant that offers a modern interpretation to the traditional dinner party in a rustic, warm, and inviting space. Located in Long Beach, New York, LB Social strives to deliver great service and high-quality, locally sourced food dishes to patrons.

"LB Social is founded on social responsibility to others, the same as Long Island Reach. Good food and the great company of family and friends is what brings many of us together in a warm, supportive, loving and caring environment, especially during the holiday season. With many of us staying home this year and cooking for ourselves due to the ongoing health crisis, I decided to partner with Long Island Reach to bring my culinary expertise directly to the public and share my skills to help others make their holiday dinners more enjoyable while raising money for a Long Beach neighbor," said Chef Hisiger.
