Long Island Weather: First Snow Of The Season Could Be This Week
The chances are small, but we could see some snow this week. It won't stick around long if it comes.

LONG ISLAND, NY — It was going to happen sooner or later: Snow is in the forecast once again. There's a slight chance the first snowfall of the season will come Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service. But even if it does snow, it won't stick around.
Other than Tuesday, which could also see some rain showers, the rest of the week looks chilly and clear, with temperatures in the 40s for most of the week.

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 54. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. West wind 8 to 13 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 48. West wind 8 to 14 mph.
Tuesday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 9 p.m., then a slight chance of snow showers between 9 p.m. and midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 41. Northwest wind 14 to 17 mph.
