Long Island Weather: Warm But Rainy Week In Store

LONG ISLAND, NY — It's going to be wonderfully warm on Long Island all week. Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn't going to give us any sun to go with it.

Though Monday was sunny, the rest of the week is going to be pretty rainy, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service. Temperatures are still going to be really nice, though, even if it's raining.

Highs this week should be around or above 50 degrees this week, with lows that don't reach freezing.

Here's the full forecast for the week from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of light rain, mainly before 3 p.m. Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 49. Southeast wind around 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 50. North wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Showers likely after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 53. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 63.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 52.
