Loop Parkway Opened

UPDATE: The Loop Parkway is open. Nassau County Police had originally said the road was closed.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Loop Parkway is closed, the Nassau County Police Department said.

Crews are working on the parkway, and all lanes are closed at the drawbridge, police said.

There's no word yet on when the road will reopen, but drivers should use Long Beach Road instead.
