Loop Parkway Exit Work To Continue On Meadowbrook

Wednesday's storm delayed the work, so the exit will be closed on Friday, too, the state said.

The state announced today that the road work on the Loop Parkway exit on the Meadowbrook Parkway would be extended an extra day to Friday.

The state's Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation said that the work was not completed on Thursday due to the storm overnight. Because of that, the work will be continued on Friday, Oct. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

During that time, exit M10 on the southbound Meadowbrook will be closed as crews work to resurface the pavement and put down lane markings.

Instead, drivers will be directed to make a U-turn and proceed to the northbound Meadowbrook parkway and take that side's Loop Parkway exit, which will allow them to continue to Long Beach. The state says the detour should add about seven minutes to commutes.
