Man Struck on Long Beach Road
The accident happened Saturday morning in Oceanside, police said.
A 78-year-old man was seriously injured after he was struck in Oceanside Saturday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
At 7:25 a.m., the victim was crossing Long Beach Road at Belleveu Avenue with a shopping cart when he was struck by a Ford Explorer, cops said.
The 38-year-old driver stayed with the victim until help arrived, authorities said. The victim was rushed to the hospital with a serious head injury, police said.
