Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital Breaks Ground On Expansion

The Oceanside medical facility will feature a four-story expansion to the emergency department.

OCEANSIDE, NY — To provide better service for patients, Mount Sinai South Nassau broke ground on a $130 million expansion project.

The new four-story addition to the emergency department will double capacity with 40 more critical care beds, the hospital announced.

The hospital's 100,000 square-foot J Wing is at the cornerstone of South Nassau's $400 million capital expansion project. The new building is expected to be completed in 2023.
