New Citibank Branch To Open August 7

The new location will open next to its original location and will replace the temporary branch opened in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

A new branch of Citibank will open at 129 East Park Avenue on Thursday, August 7. The new branch will open next to its original location, which sustained severe damage during Superstorm Sandy.

“Citibank has played an active role in the Long Beach community for more than 25 years, and we are thrilled to be re-solidifying our presence here with the opening of our new branch,” said Alan Schiefman, the new branch’s manager. “We were glad to continue serving customers from our temporary location after Superstorm Sandy, and now this celebration gives us an opportunity to welcome our neighbors into the new branch and thank them for their support.”

The new 4,000 square foot location will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. Local public officials, Citibank leadership and the local branch team will be present to discuss the branch’s path to reopening, the new branch’s offerings and meaningful community development projects in the works.
