Obituary: ​Antonietta Pogliani, Longtime Island Park Resident, Dies at 94

Visitation: Friday, June 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Christopher T. Jordan Funeral Home on 302 Long Beach Road in Island Park.

Obituary: Antonietta Pogliani, of Island Park, passed away on Wednesday, June 22. She was 94.

Pogliani was born in 1921 on the island of Lussinpiccolo, Italy.

She was a longtime resident of Island Park since 1961 after emigrating to New York with her husband Marcello and son Fulvio after living in Genova, Italy for 10 years after WWII.

She devoted her life to her family and passion for cooking. Every summer, she traveled with her family to her native island in the Adriatic Sea.

In addition to her son, Pogliani is survived by her other son Walter, her caregiver Mowa, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She will be interred on her birthplace along with generations of her family.
