Visitation: Wednesday, March 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Macken Mortuary, Island Park Chapel, on 3930 Long Beach Road.
Service: Thursday, March 31 starting at 10 a.m. at St Ignatius Martyr Church on 21 W Broadway in Long Beach.

Obituary: Daniel G. Gimpel, of Long Beach, passed away on Sunday, March 27. He was 66.
He was a retired FDNY firefighter for Ladder 112.

Gimpel is survived by his children Jennifer (Paul) Wagner, Daniel, and Jacqueline.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Elizabeth and Megan and his siblings Dennis, Jeffrey, Rosemary, Nicholas, Michael, Regina, Neil, Suzanne, and Victoria.
Interment will take place at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
