Oceanside Construction Worker Hit With Beams, Sent To Hospital
The worker was airlifted to an area hospital "alert and conscious," the Oceanside Assistant Fire Chief said.

OCEANSIDE, NY — A construction worker was airlifted to a hospital after getting hit with three steel high beams on his back, the Oceanside Fire Department said.
Nassau County police arrived at the Daly Boulevard location just after 7:30 a.m Tuesday. The victim was taken by police ambulance to a helicopter that was parked at the nearby Staples strip mall on Long Beach Road.
The victim was "alert and conscious" when he was placed in the ambulance. First Assistant Chief Charles Daskalakis also said he was not pinned under the beams when the accident happened.

Police did not release any other details about the victim's condition.
