Roadwork To Close 2 Lanes Of Lido Boulevard

Starting next week, the daytime work is going to cause delays in the area while the road is repaved.

Construction work on Lido Boulevard is going to change the traffic on the road for a few weeks this month.

Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford announced the work on her Facebook page. Starting on Oct. 7, the county's contractor is going to start work milling up the road and repaving it. The plan is to repave a one-mile stretch of road from Blackheath Road in the west to Prescott Street in the east.

Because this is a residential area, the work will be done during the day. For safety, crews will shut down two lanes of the road while the work is being done, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
