Dozens of bands will be playing on the sand this summer. Check out the schedule.

Get ready for sweet sounds on the sand. The City of Long Beach has announced the schedule for the 2017 Summer Concert Series, featuring multiple shows per week — all for free.

The concert series kicks off on July 5 and runs through Aug. 21. All of the shows are free for residents and visitors. This year, the city is featuring four shows per week for the run of the series. However, locations have changed from past years due to the construction work on the beach.

Monday shows will take place on Edwards Boulevard beach, Tuesdays on National Boulevard beach, Wednesday on Grand Boulevard beach and Thursdays are on Lincoln Boulevard beach.

"The beach concert series is a great tradition here in our city by the sea," said Parks and Recreation Assistant Superintendent Paul Ferrante. "Our team has worked very hard to compile a diverse and talented lineup with something for everyone. Come on down with your family and friends and enjoy a night under stars on our beautiful beach."

Concertgoers should bring a beach chair or blanket. All shows begin at 8 p.m. unless otherwise noted. For the full list of acts, click here.
