Thrillist Names Long Beach Best For Foodies On Long Island
Long Beach residents know the food is great. It seems Thrillist does too.
LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach residents already know the food is great. With restaurants like JJ Coopers, Lost And Found, LB Social and Speakeasy, quality cuisine isn't hard to find.
So it's no surprise that Thrillist named Long Beach the best beach for foodies on Long Island. The site highlighted that the city by the sea is a quick Long Island Rail Road trip away for city folks. The authors also praised the recently revamped West End boardwalk for its "oceanside eats," fit for every appetite.
"Stop by Swingbelly's for slow-cooked BBQ and beers, grab a marshmallow-topped s'mores donut at the Dough Hut, and chow down on tall stacks of chocolate chip pancakes and rainbow milkshakes at Diner By The Sea," the authors wrote.

Other eateries featured in the article include the food truck Shoregasboard, the affordable Copper and Clay, Steven's Pasta, Marvel Frozen Dairy stand, Baked By The Ocean's OG creations and Atlantica.
"When you’re done, you can walk out onto the beach and fall into a food coma," Thrillist said. "Be sure to apply adequate SPF so you don’t wake up as blistered as Atlantica’s shishito peppers."
