Tribeca Film Festival Announces Screenings Coming To Long Island

LIDO BEACH, NY — The Tribeca Film Festival announced the lineup of movies it will be screening during its month-long drive-in at Nickerson Beach.

Instead of being canceled entirely, the film festival created Tribeca Drive-In: a showcase of films that would be screened at four drive-in locations across the country. There is one in California, one in Texas and two in New York, including at Nassau County's Nickerson Beach in Lido Beach.

Films will be screened four days a week at Nickerson Beach, on July 9 through 12, July 16 through 19, July 23 through 26 and July 30 through Aug. 12. Tickets to the Thursday screenings will be free for first responders and healthcare workers as thanks for all they've done during the coronavirus pandemic.

Tickets are $26 per car for single features and $35 for double features. Tickets go on sale today.

• July 10: Double Feature: "Back to the Future," 5 p.m./"Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure," 9 p.m.
• July 11: Double Feature: "Spy Kids," 5 p.m./"Black Panther," 8:30 p.m.
• July 12: Double Feature: "Jerry Maguire," 4:30 p.m./"Love & Basketball," 8:45 p.m.
• July 16: "The Dark Knight," 8 p.m.
• July 17: "Mean Girls," 5 p.m.
• July 17: "Superbad," 8:45 p.m.
• July 18: "Straight Outta Compton," 8 p.m.
• July 19: "Friday Night Lights," 4:30 p.m.
• July 19: "Wonder Woman," 8:30 p.m.
• July 23: "Meet the Parents," 8 p.m.
• July 24: Double Feature: "Girls Trip," 4:45 p.m./"Bridesmaids," 8:45 p.m.
• July 25: Double Feature: "Inside Man," 4:30 p.m./"Do The Right Thing," 8:30 p.m. "Tangled Roots" plays before "Do The Right Thing."
• July 26: Double Feature: "Pee-wee's Big Adventure," 5 p.m./"Beetlejuice," 9 p.m.
• July 31: Double Feature: "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," 5 p.m./"The Fast & The Furious," 9 p.m.
• Aug. 1: Double Feature: "Selena," 4:45 p.m./"The Bodyguard," 8:45 p.m.
• Aug. 2: Double Feature: "Goldfinger," 4:45 p.m./"Casino Royale," 8:30 p.m.
