As Grace Industries, the firm hired to rebuild Long Beach’s boardwalk, performs work on the project with a 210-day timeline, City Manager Jack Schnirman at Tuesday’s Council meeting said 20 percent of the structure, from National to Long Beach boulevards, is due to be ready by the 100-day mark in July.
Schnirman announced beaches will be open this summer and beach passes are on sale. There will be concerts, arts and crafts festivals, a fireworks show, a film festival, and a new food truck intititive. Said Schnirman: “We’ll be looking forward to a tremendous summer season.” - Joseph Kellard
