30 Watermelons Stolen Outside Supermarket
Nassau County Police report on grand larceny, petit larceny, and criminal mischief.

Nassau County Police reported the following information.
Grand Larceny
- July 16: Sunglass Hut, E. Garden City; five pairs of sunglasses stolen.
- July 17: Whole Foods Market, Jericho; unattended pocketbook stolen from shopping cart.
- July 17: Town Clerk’s office, Manhasset; unattended backpack stolen.
- July 19: Roosevelt Field Mall, E. Garden City; unattended wallet stolen.
- July 20: Christopher Morley Park, Roslyn; wallet stolen from unattended bag.
- July 21: H-Mart parking lot, Great Neck; unattended pocketbook stolen from shopping cart.

- July 17: Best Market, S. Farmingdale; unsecured 30 watermelons stolen.

- July 18: XSport Fitness, Massapequa; unattended keys stolen from women’s bathroom.
- July 19: Hendrickson Park, Valley Stream; locked bicycle stolen from fence.
- July 19: Woodfield Road, West Hempstead; items stolen from storage unit.
- July 20: Hendrickson Park, Valley Stream; unattended cellphone stolen.
- July 20: Cameron Street, Elmont; two bicycles stolen from front yard.
- July 22: Babylon Road, Merrick; bicycles stolen from unattached garage.
Criminal Mischief
- July 16: Beechwood Avenue, Roosevelt; rock thrown at front casement window, shattering it.
- July 18: Matthew Lane, Seaford; fence damaged.
- July 18: Clubhouse Road, Bellmore; 30 landscaping stack blocks damaged.
- July 18: Ronkonkoma Avenue, West Hempstead; glass on front storm door broken.
- July 18: Waldorf Avenue, Elmont; spruce post fence smashed and spray painted.
- July 19: Willets Road, Albertson; house egged.
- July 20: Thimble Lane, Hicksville; metal structure clothesline behind house damaged.
