Accused LI Stop & Shop Shooter Pleads Not Guilty: Report

MINEOLA, NY — An indictment was handed down Friday in connection to the West Hempstead Stop & Shop shooting.

Gabriel DeWitt Wilson, 31, was arraigned from a grand jury indictment, News 12 reported. He's accused of fatally shooting store manager Ray Wishropp.

Wilson pleaded not guilty to charges that included second-degree murder and several counts of attempted murder.

Wilson was held without bail and is due back in court on July 7, News 12 reported.

Two other people were shot on April 20 in the supermarket.
