Arrow Exterminating Co., Inc. Donates $15K to Feed Hungry LI'ers

Top company officials who survived COVID-19 were on hand to present the donation to Island Harvest Food Bank

Executives from Lynbrook-based Arrow Exterminating Company, Inc. who survived the COVID-19 virus, recently presented a check for $15,000 to Island Harvest Food Bank to help their fellow Long Islanders struggling to put food on their families table created by the coronavirus pandemic.

Arrow’s co-owner, Debby Tappan, and the company’s general manager, Thomas Jordan, who is also a volunteer with the North Babylon Fire Department, were stricken with the COVID-19 virus, and have since recovered. In appreciation of the food bank’s efforts in providing critical food support to people impacted by the pandemic, Ms. Tappan, and co-owner Jackie Grabin, along with Mr. Jordan presented the donation to Randi Shubin Dresner, president & CEO, Island Harvest Food Bank at the hunger-relief organization’s warehouse in Bethpage.

“We are grateful for Arrow’s generous donation which will help us provide much-needed food support for Long Islanders who may not know when their next meal will come,” said Ms. Shubin Dresner. “Most importantly is that Debby and Thomas overcame their bout with the coronavirus and were able to attend the check presentation with us.”

“Island Harvest is a wonderful organization, doing good things in supplying much-needed food to people who are hungry,” said Jackie Grabin, co-owner, Arrow Exterminating Company, Inc. “We are very happy to be able to help them make sure that no one on Long Island goes without food.”
