Two Robbed by Masked Man With Gun in Baldwin

Two people were robbed by a masked man with a gun early Tuesday morning in Baldwin.

Police said at about 3:07 a.m., the 20-year-old female victim was dropping off a 20-year-old male friend at Brooklyn Avenue and Spruce Street when a black male suspect approached the rear driver’s side of the vehicle.

Teen Door-to-Door Salesman Mugged in Baldwin

A 17-year-old boy was punched in the face and robbed of his cell phone in Baldwin Monday afternoon.

According to Nassau County detectives, around 3 p.m., the 17-year-old was walking near Milburn Avenue and Clinton Place as a door-to-door salesman for Terminix.

While he talking on his cell phone, police said the teen was approached by a skinny, light-skinned black male suspect, who had been dropped off by a light-colored Toyota Prius.

Arrests

  • On July 2, Garden City detectives conducted an investigation on Railroad Avenue that resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old male from New Hyde Park for two counts of marijuana possession.

  • On July 3, Garden City detectives arrested a 60-year-old female from Great Neck for an incident that occurred on June 27 where she allegedly left the scene of a property damage auto accident on Franklin Avenue.

  • On July 4, during an investigation in parking field 2S in Garden City detectives arrested a 35-year-old female from Uniondale for prostitution and a male 26-year-old from Hempstead for patronizing a prostitute.

  • On July 4, a Garden City police officer, stopped a vehicle for driving without headlights on Clinton Road. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving with 13 outstanding driver's license suspensions.

  • On July 7, Garden City detectives arrested a 18-year-old male from Malverne for leaving the scene of an auto accident that occurred on Clinton Road on June 22.

  • Lewd Conduct

    • On July 3, a Garden City resident reported seeing a subject -- described as a male white, 18-20, unshaven -- pull up in front of her residence on Chestnut Street and commit a lewd/obscene act inside his vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene toward Clinton Road.

    Robbery

    • On June 29 at 3:03 a.m., a female complainant from Rockville Centre reported that while in the vicinity of Windemere Place and Lenox Road in Rockville Centre, two unknown males pushed her to the ground causing lacerations to both knees. The injuries required no medical attention, but the suspects stole 20 oxycodone pills and $50 cash.

    Burglary

    • On June 28  at 2:08 p.m., a complainant from Reid Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between 1 p.m. and 1 p.m., an unknown person(s) damaged a screen to a rear sliding door, entered the residence and stole assorted jewelry valued at $11,350 from a bedroom.

    Criminal Mischief

    • On June 27 at 7:24 p.m., a Rockville Centre from Vincent Street resident reported a bedroom window was damaged by a pellet.
