Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.), Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony J. Santino, and Malverne Mayor Patricia McDonald recently held their Second Annual Free Kids Health Day Event for the community at Crossroads Farm at Grossmann’s in Malverne. Curran said over 300 kids attended the event.

The event promoted healthy, fun, and exciting activities for young children to engage in while providing opportunities for them to learn and enjoy healthy habits at an early age in their lives. Activities included (but not limited to): Martial Arts Class, Yoga Class, Spin Class, Family Hip Hop, Jump Rope Tournament, Child ID Program, Pony Rides, Grow Your Own Herb Garden, Bounce House, Obstacle Course, and more.

“This free event for children and families was a great opportunity for kids and parents to learn about healthy lifestyles, eating healthy foods and ways to stay healthy,” said Curran. “We had many activities throughout the day and had vendors on hand giving out helpful information. I cannot thank our sponsors enough, and our host, Crossroads at Grossmann’s, for helping us with this event and, of course, my co-hosts for their gracious support as well.”
