Developers Release First Renderings Of Capri Motel Replacement
The blighted motel will be torn down to make way for luxury apartments.
The developers behind the plan to raze the Capri Lynbrook Motor Inn and replace it with apartments have released the first renderings of their new project.
Terwilliger & Bartone, the company behind the redevelopment, plans to completely demolish the Capri and replace it with luxury apartments. The company held meetings with the community to solicit input, and factored those things into the design.
One of the things that the developers took from residents is that they wanted the apartment building to be no taller than the four-story Bristal Assisted Living across the street, which it is not. The developers also included design notes from the residents.

In August, developer Anthony Bartone told Patch the apartments would probably cost between $20 and $30 million to build.
The motel has been the site of numerous arrests for prostitution, as well robberies.
