Election Day 2020 In Malverne-Lynbrook: What You Should Know

MALVERNE-LYNBROOK, NY — Election Day is finally here, and thousands of residents are going to be casting their ballots today for the 2020 election. Voters in Malverne and Lynbrook who haven't voted early will now have a chance to make their voices heard.

In addition to the presidential and congressional races, people on Long Island will also be casting their ballots for the state Assembly and Senate, as well as their representative in Congress. Voting will be different this year in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

There are several ways residents can vote:

Mail-In Voting

It's too late to request an absentee ballot for mail-in voting.

The ballot itself must either be personally delivered to the board of elections no later than the close of polls on Election Day, or postmarked by a governmental postal service no later than the day of the election and received no later than the 7th day after the election.

Voting on Election Day

Polls in New York are open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day.
