Former Lynbrook Fire Chief Frank Morris Dies
Frank Morris had recently retired after 35 years of service.

Funeral services are set for Frank Morris, a beloved former Lynbrook Fire Department chief who dedicated his life to protecting the community. He was 64.
Frank, who lived in Lynbrook, served in the Lynbrook Fire Department for 35 years and had recently retired.
Morris was honored in June at the Annual Firematic Awards by County Executive Ed Mangano.

“Each and every day, firefighters wake up and respond to emergencies with a single goal: protecting the public, rarely with concern for their own safety,” said Mangano during the ceremony, adding that “Heroism, courage and sacrifice are just three words to describe” the dedication shown by Morris and the other honorees that day.
Family will be receiving friends Monday and Tuesday at Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home in Lynbrook from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Lynbrook Fire Department will hold a special service there at 8 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral mass is set for Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook followed by a burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale. Read Frank’s obituary page here.
