Name: Daniel Nehlsen
Home town: Malverne-Lynbrook
Hero's job: Education
Reason for recognition: He goes above and beyond for the students at his school during this time. He checks in with them even on summer break. He made sure every student had the tools they needed during remote learning. He held morning meeting for tech issues. He truly cares.
One thing to know: He is one of a kind. I have never met a principal who truly cares for his students like Mr. Nehlsen. He wants every student to succeed and makes sure they have every opportunity too.
