Incumbent Brian Curran Loses 21st Assembly Seat To Judy Griffin
BREAKING: The four-term incumbent and former mayor lost his re-election bid to the state Assembly.

The results are in for the 21st Assembly District race, and incumbent Brian Curran has lost to a challenge from Judy Griffin.
Curran, a Republican and former Lynbrook mayor, has held his seat since 2010. But Griffin managed to take the seat, earning 25,141 votes to Curran's 22,676 with 98 percent of precincts reporting in unofficial results Tuesday night.
The 21st Assembly District encompasses Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, and parts of Baldwin, East Rockaway, Franklin Square, Freeport, Hewlett, Malverne, Oceanside, South Hempstead, and West Hempstead.
