Lynbrook Girls Volleyball Falls Just Short of Title
Defending champions lose in country finals to Seaford, finish season 13-1.

The Lynbrook High School girls volleyball team made it to the county finals for the second straight year before falling to Seaford in the finals in three sets.
The team, which had been the defending county champions, finished with a 13-1 record and clinched their second consecutive BC-1 conference title.
Lynbrook reached the finals by beating Floral Park in the county semifinals in three sets.

“I’m very proud of the team’s strong performance again this year,” coach Stewart Ratzken said. “They put up a good fight in the finals, but could not get the momentum away from the Vikings. It can be harder sometimes to defend a title rather than coming in as the underdog.”
