Lynbrook Lacrosse Players Sign Letters of Intent

Lynbrook High School seniors Chandley Borges and Joe Grossi recently signed National Letters of Intent to play college lacrosse.

Chandley, who will be attending Adelphi University, is a four-year varsity lacrosse player who has earned All-Conference and All-County honors. During her high school career, she has amassed 89 goals and 35 assists. Chandley is also a four-year varsity swim team member and was captain of this year’s conference championship team.

 Equally accomplished in academics and community service, Chandley is a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Leadership/Key Club and Athletes Creating Excellence, as well as sports adviser for the Yearbook Club. Outside of school, she is a volunteer lacrosse coach and instructor at Turf Island.

Joe, who will be attending Binghamton University, is a three-year starter who has earned All-Conference, Academic All-Conference, All-County and Academic All-County honors, recording 32 goals and 21 assists in his career. He was chosen twice to represent Nassau County in the Long Island Lacrosse Showcase. Joe is also a three-year varsity starter in football, a sport for which he has earned Academic All-County and Scholar-Athlete awards. He received a nomination for the Jim Thorpe Award in football and is a member of the National Honor Society. 

Outside of school, he has assisted at the Lynbrook Titans Football and Lacrosse Camps and has participated in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk since 2010.
